It definitely makes a difference, but I'm usually not riding for a national title or anything like that. I always found dc's to be overkill for my style, but I will say this bike is plenty fast without one. If you don't think hanging with Jason Memmelaar on his home track is fast enough, then I guess I'm out of my league here.
